I grew up in Cloverdale, British Columbia where I played football throughout my high-school years. After graduating from high-school I turned my focus to coaching where I developed a passion for working with young athletes and helping guide Lord Tweedsmuir’s Grade 8 team to four Provincial Championships in 6 years. Currently, I am Registered Clinical Counsellor with GameReady where I focus on providing youth with counselling and mental health support for both on/off the field. I describe my approach to counselling as Practical-Existentialism. Meaning I believe in helping youth overcome the day-to-day difficulties they face, while also providing space for them to explore the more profound questions they have about life, meaning, and purpose. My main objective is to work collaboratively with youth to support the unique needs and goals of each individual as they foster their own innate strengths and resiliency, enrich their sense of self, and nurture their ability to establish and maintain healthy relationships.
